Infiniti to move HQ to Hong Kong
Nissan has big plans for its luxury Infiniti brand. Already a sizeable marque in North America, Infiniti are pushing hard to be recognised in Europe as a credible alternative to Lexus, and are looking to make hay in South East Asia and China as those economies become the world’s financial powerhouses. So the news that Infiniti are to up sticks and move their global headquarters to Hong Kong makes sense on several fronts.

The Bionic showcases the potential of bionics for automobile development, and is inspired by the boxfish(!) In DaimlerChrysler's words: "Despite its boxy, cube-shaped body, this tropical fish is in fact outstandingly streamlined and therefore represents an aerodynamic ideal". This 4240mm long car that seats four has a Cd value of just 0.19 which, in combination with light-weight construction and an advanced diesel powertrain, gives 20% lower fuel consumption and up to 80% lower nitrogen oxide emissions. This reduction in NO2 is achieved by spraying 'AdBlue', an aqueous urea solution, into the exhaust system in precisely metered quantities to convert the nitrogen oxides into harmless nitrogen and water, so even if it looks like it should, it shouldn't smell fishy...
Lotus has revealed a limited edition Exige S - the Scura / Stealth
Based on the Lotus Exige, the Scura manages to coax an extra 40bhp from its 1.8 litre Toyota supercharged engine, offering 260 of Hethel’s finest horses to play with. That will see the Scura get to 60mph in 4 seconds and break 10 seconds to 100mph. Top speed is 152mph.
